Chapter 20 - THE SONG THAT NEVER ENDS

Years have passed since that day.
Mia is grown now. Bright, kind, and wonderfully brave. She knows the truth—all of it. We went through Grace’s letter together. We read Clara’s notebook. We spoke of the fire, the choices, and the woman who loved her mother too fiercely.
Mia understood. She cried for Grace. She pitied Elena. And she chose to build her own life on love rather than bitterness.
The music box still sits on the piano. It plays every evening. Sometimes Mia hums along. Sometimes she simply listens.
We never heard from Vanessa again. I do not know where she went. I do not know if she found peace. But I hope she did.
Grace left us with many things. Secrets. Strength. The courage to keep going even when everything is dark. But her greatest gift was Mia.
And sometimes, when the music plays and the light falls just right across the room… I see Grace in Mia’s smile. I hear her in Mia’s laugh. And I know that love is stronger than any secret, any fear, and any distance.

Grace may have left us too soon. But she left us enough. Enough love. Enough truth. Enough courage.
And the music plays on.
