Chapter 18 - WHAT JUSTICE REALLY MEANS

Months later, the final legal proceedings concluded.
Robert's vast fortune was seized. Distributed to his victims. To charities. To the communities he had exploited. Every asset. Every property. Every penny gained through crime... was returned to where it truly belonged.
Daniel attended the final hearing. Sat quietly. Listened to the judge speak of corruption. Of betrayal. Of a man who had turned everything he touched into ash. And then... the judge said something that brought tears to Daniel's eyes.
*The man who exposed this... was not a detective. Not a police officer. Not a hero by trade. He was a son. Fighting to clear his father's name. To protect his mother. To defend the truth. And in doing so... he reminded us all that one person with courage... is stronger than a thousand men with power.*
Daniel walked out of the courtroom into bright sunlight. He called me. Told me what had been said. And then... he said something that changed everything.

"I am not doing this because of what Robert did," Daniel said. "I am doing this because of what my father stood for. And you. And the life we deserve. Justice is not about punishing evil, Mother. It is about restoring good."
